CEAT was recently conferred with ‘Questel’s IP Excellence Award 2021’, a testament to the company’s valuable contribution as an innovation-driven organisation. A notable amount of work has been done by CEAT in terms of creating and strengthening intellectual property. From having filed less than five patents five years ago, the team has filed over 100 patents till date. Questel India shared, “Our team has reviewed the IP portfolio of the Top 50 companies with Indian priority patent applications published during the last two years, and their portfolio values. We have construed that CEAT has done remarkably well and created incredible intellectual property, mainly in industrial design, despite the pandemic.”

    I n a bid to bridge the infrastructure gap between families living in rural and semi-urban areas and quality healthcare, RPG Foundation, in partnership with the Public Health Department (Government of Maharashtra) and National Health Mission, has opened fever clinics in different locations across rural and semi-urban areas of Maharashtra. Till date, the 100 fever clinics have tested over two lakh visitors and have helped alleviate the strain on local medical services.

    COVID-19

    A s part of RPG’s response to Covid-19, KEC has installed an oxygen gas manufacturing facility at the tower manufacturing unit in Jaipur. Inaugurated by Pradeep Gaur, CMD, Rail Vikas, the facility has a capacity to produce 200 cylinders per day, for both medical and captive industrial usage. KEC is also setting up another medical-grade oxygen plant in Nagpur with a capacity of 500 cylinders per day to cater to the oxygen requirements in and around Maharashtra.

    T he marine-themed MCGM children’s playground at the Banganga tank in Mumbai was opened to the public, after it was inaugurated by Mangal Prabhat Lodha, MLA and President, BJP-Mumbai; Jyotsana Mehta, BJP corporator; with the support of MyBMC; BMC D Ward and Prashant Gaikwad, Assistant Municipal Commissioner at BMC. Families can now enjoy the park and also learn more about Banganga’s rich history.
