CEAT’s tyre manufacturing facility in Halol has been designated by the World Economic Forum as an ‘Advanced Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) Lighthouse’. This recognition makes CEAT the first tyre company globally, and the first auto ancillary company in India, to be recognised for adopting advanced Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) technologies to digitally transform operations and become a part of the Global Lighthouse Network.
Anant Goenka, Managing Director, CEAT said, “We embarked on our Industry 4.0 journey in 2020. Since then, we have seen substantial improvements in our plants’ operational efficiencies through the adoption of digital technologies. The fourth Industrial Revolution technologies deployed include Advanced Analytics based cycle time optimisation, IoT-enabled intelligent control for energy reduction, digitally-enabled root cause analyser for yield improvement and ML-powered visual analytics.

The RPG and the India Today Group have come together to launch a unique initiative called the Happiness Quest. As part of the programme, the Happiness at Workplace Summit and Awards were launched this year to recognise and celebrate some of India’s foremost organisations that have done commendable work in this area.
The event saw close to 150 industry leaders congregating in Mumbai on 18th February to share insights from their journey of building a happier workplace for their employees. An award ceremony was also held to recognise the pioneers who have revolutionised the workplace culture in their respective companies.
