How has your journey at RPG group been so far?

It’s been a journey of fulfillment, enrichment, and effective learning at RPG — where I have always received the flexibility to explore and expand my knowledge as a professional. I am blessed to have received the opportunity to work along with great leaders and managers who have always inspired me to become a better version of myself. I have had wonderful colleagues and friends who have supported me throughout my growth journey.

What is the one mantra that has helped you through your life?

Hold the vision and trust the process!

Can you share a memorable experience during your time here?

I have many memorable experiences during my stint at RPG/KEC. One such experience – the privilege of being a meaningful part of the RPG OneHR Confluence in 2023 is an experience I will always cherish. The knowledge sessions with Business & HR Pioneers of RPG Group have broadened my horizons.

Name that one person who continues to inspire you every day.

My deceased aunt (my guardian angel) — a very caring, loving and humble human being who is my epitome of virtues and values. She is my inspiration, my role model. I have learnt a lot from her. She taught me that — Being human is being selfless and the beauty is not in owning but in service and in spreading love. Although a widow with three children of her own, she willingly took on the responsibility of being a guardian to me and my sisters in the absence of our parents. Everything I am today, I owe it all to my aunt.

What do you think sets RPG/KEC apart as a workplace?

Being people centric is the biggest strength of RPG/KEC. The continuous efforts made to improve employee well-being and safety are notable.

I believe this is the true hallmark of a benevolent people organisation.

RPG GROUP

How has your journey at RPG group been so far?

I completed three months on January 23, 2024. and I am thrilled by how quickly I have felt comfortable and included in the Group. Several people have devoted time and effort to ensure that my onboarding was smooth, seamless and most importantly, filled with warmth. The emphasis on happiness and its integration into the Group’s initiatives, policies and processes is remarkable and I am learning more and more every day. The support, patience, openness and nurturing I have received from my seniors, stakeholders and peers inspires me to emulate these behaviours.

What drew you to the O&TD field?

For an MBA with a specialisation in Marketing, this was the last career path I imagined when I graduated. However, within the first five years of working in Marketing, the science and art of capability building and people development captivated me. A lot of intensive conversations with professionals in the field, volunteering with a senior facilitator to observe the ground realities and reading about the various aspects motivated me to swerve my career. I was intrigued by a function where the larger purpose is to enable people to become better versions of themselves. These motivations keep me focused, committed, and passionate about O&TD till date.

What is the one mantra that has helped you through your life/career?

There are two mantras I have attempted to imbibe in my life and career: (i) Live and let live and (ii) This too shall pass. The first (for me) is about tolerance, kindness, openness and being comfortable with ones wants and deeply accepting that it is true for the other person too. Disagreement is possible without disrespect. The second mantra is about resilience, equanimity and the importance of maintaining grit to let go and move forward.

What does Hello Happiness mean to you?

Hello Happiness resonates with my belief system as an individual. Happiness is a choice that we can make every moment, every day. However, for a conglomerate like RPG to embrace it as their ethos is simply remarkable. The choice to build, sustain and enable an ecosystem that is determined to keep Happiness at the core is admirable. For me, it’s about making the conscious choice to choose happiness and as a member of the Group O&TD, I want capability building to strengthen employees’ self-efficacy and thereby increase their happiness levels.
