RPG House hosted Ajinkya Rahane as the speaker for its latest RPG Learning Series, where he delved into the foundation that has shaped him into the cricketer he is today. He spoke about his journey as a rising star and shared personal anecdotes of overcoming challenges by focusing on achieving his goals and ignoring the naysayers who asked him to quit the sport several times. Drawing inspiration from his seniors, Ajinkya spoke about the importance of precise and clear communication in partnerships and stressed that it is imperative to back fellow teammates in every possible way. He revealed his enthusiasm towards women’s cricket and encouraged the audience to support them in order to catapult them to greater fame and glory.
The CEAT Sri Lanka team won the 2020 Inter-office Cricket Tournament, organised by the India CEO Forum (ICF), which saw 24 teams come together for a friendly competition. The trophy-bagging team comprised employees from the company’s manufacturing and sales offices in Sri Lanka, who defeated the Fairfirst Insurance team in a nail-biting finale match. Lakmal Madusanka, a sales executive from CEAT, won individual honours of Best Batsman as well as Best All-rounder in the tournament.
KEC International, through its subsidiary KEC Towers LLC, has acquired an automated transmission tower manufacturing facility for ₹100 crore. This facility, with a capacity of 50,000 tonnes per annum, is located in mainland Dubai. “We believe this acquisition to be value-accretive to our stakeholders. If we had done this inorganically, it would have taken us three years in addition to ₹300- 400 crore in capital. With the Dubai port 30 minutes away from the facility, it will save us logistics cost as well as time taken for shipments. It will cut down 30-40 days, which is the time that would have taken for the company to ship from an Indian port,” said Vimal Kejriwal, MD & CEO. This acquisition takes KEC’s total manufacturing capacity to 4,22,200 MPTA, making it one of the largest globally operating T&D players.
