RPG Happiness Day was celebrated with great aplomb on 1st March, 2021, in honour of our founder Shri Rama Prasad Goenka. Happiness Day celebrates and recognises top performers from across RPG Group and provides a platform for RPGians to showcase their talents. The much-awaited event held virtually this year was attended by over 1,500 people, including employees and their families.
The Top Gear Awards are presented to honour and recognise those employees who are able to make a significant contribution towards realising the Group’s vision, by consistently exceeding expectations through the year.

Maintaining the highest standards in safety has always been a priority at RPG. Each year, the unit or project that sets benchmarks in EHS across the Group is felicitated.
The Best Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Complying unit of the Year for 2020 was awarded to CEAT Nashik Plant
The newest, annual branded programme in the employee engagement agenda, RPG’s Got Talent, served as a platform for RPGians and their families across locations to showcase their talents. Read more
The event took a final bow with a rib-tickling session with renowned comedian Jeeveshu Ahluwalia, who made sure that viewers doubled up in peals of laughter.
Legendary industrialist and philanthropist Dr. Rama Prasad Goenka was given the moniker 'Takeover Tycoon' by the industry and media. He acquired CEAT, KEC, Dunlop, HMV, Zensar, Murphy, CESC, Philips Carbon Black, Harrisons Malayalam, Spencers to name a few. The versatile leader’s contribution to business and society laid the foundation and ethos of RPG Group. Rama Babu, as he was fondly called, worked relentlessly towards the betterment of society. Well-read, compassionate and erudite, he was a larger than life personality, and an exemplary human being who put a lot of emphasis on the importance of knowledge.
