RPG HAPPINESS DAY 2022

Celebrating the life and legacy of our founder Dr Rama Prasad Goenka

Raychem RPG – Halol Plant

Bestowed with the moniker 'Takeover Tycoon' for the way he grew the RPG Group through multiple mergers & acquisitions, Dr Rama Prasad Goenka was a larger than life personality and a philanthropist. He acquired various businesses, including CEAT, KEC, Zensar, RPG Life Sciences, and Harrisons Malayalam. Rama Babu, as he was affectionately called, worked relentlessly towards the betterment of society and laid great emphasis on imparting happiness to almost everyone he would meet. The RPG Happiness Day celebrations are an ode to his life and his contribution to business and society at large, all of which helped lay the foundation and ethos of the RPG Group we see today.

The 2022 edition of this much-awaited annual event was held virtually for the second year in a row. The celebrations included a unique talent show for RPGians and their families, making the occasion special and engaging for all.

Our special event took a final bow with an enthralling performance by Melissa Srivastava, the singer for the evening, who tapped into old classics and new melodies, and sung them in contemporary notes – a shift that only few can achieve seamlessly. It was an apt ‘happy note’ to conclude the event.
